First Aid Courses
We offer the following accredited courses in First Aid and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED):
1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
QCF Level 2 (in England & Wales) and SCQF Level 5 (in Scotland).
3 day First Aid at Work (FAW)
QCF Level 3 (in England & Wales) and SCQF Level 6 (in Scotland).
2 day FAW requalification course
QCF Level 3 (in England & Wales) and SCQF Level 6 (in Scotland).
1 Day CPR and AED user course
This very practical course will enable your staff to use an AED competently combined with life saving basic life support skills.
Half day AED user courses (Level 2)
This course will enable your staff to use an AED competently and with confidence.
All these courses comply with the guidelines and criteria as defined by the HSE in respect of the 1981 (First Aid) Regulations and the Resuscitation Council UK’s guidelines 2015 and are accredited for 3 years.
Forestry First Aid
This qualification has been designed to provide knowledge and competence for a learner to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry/agricultural environment. This 3 hour qualification is designed to supplement a First Aider’s existing First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification and covers the recommended topics stated in the Forestry Commission First Aid policy 2015.
Catastrophic bleeding
This is an excellent course for those involved in high-risk working environments. This 3-hour course will provide learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering first aid in a high risk working environment.
